4th Annual Equity & Justice Symposium
Rooted Together: The Future of Black Equity
On Thursday, May 15, 2025 the Black Equity Collective returned to The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens to host the 4th Annual Equity & Justice Symposium. The theme, Rooted Together: The Future of Black Equity brought together the members of California's Black PowerBuilding Ecosystem: the Black Equity Collective, California Black Power Network, Black Equity Initiative Inland Empire, Bold Black LA, and California Black Freedom Fund.
From the Funder Breakfast Briefing discussing the findings of the California Black-led Organizations: Strengthening California's Economy & Communities Survey to the resounding rendition of "Lift Every Voice And Sing" by the Center of Hope Praise singers and our emphatic keynote address by Trista Harris, President of Future Good, this year's symposium was food for the soul!
We would like to thank our sponsors for their generous support: California Black Freedom Fund, WHH Foundation, Edison International, California Health Care Foundation, Grow@Annenberg, James Irvine Foundation, and Liberty Hill Foundation. Their contribution allowed us to create a safe, joyous, informative space for over 100 BLO leaders from across California.
